Healthy Homemade Dark Chocolates

If your anything like me, you are getting excited about all the sweet sugary treats all around this time of year. Valentine’s day makes me think of chocolatey treats, pink frosted cupcakes and, lots more chocolate.

What happens after the chocolate binge is usually not pretty. You crash HARD, get irritable, tired, and then crave more chocolate. This is the vicious cycle we put ourselves through when we give into the frosted sprinkle, glittery, sugary and sweet pastries and chocolates. It is especially hard to resist the sugar on Valentines Day when the treats seem to be on every corner you turn; at work, at home, at the grocery store and of course the candy the kids bring home from school.

So what’s a girl to do? Say no to the chocolate? (like that’s gonna happen) but when you are a health conscious person such as yourself you want to indulge a little without totally derailing your health.

That’s why I am sharing my Healthy Homemade Dark Chocolates Recipe!

  2. Remove from heat and stir in sweetener of choice until completely smooth. Add cacao powder, vanilla, and salt. Mix again until well incorporated and smooth. (Add optional essential oils here.)
